Here we explain how to do qigong.
- Creating a chi energy ball
First, hold an imaginary ball about the size of a softball between your hands with the palms of your right and left hands facing each other. Then imagine that you are warming the air inside from your left and right palms and fingers. Then focus your attention on the sensation in your palms.
Next, move your palms faintly as if you are gently pressing on the imaginary chi energy ball of air between your palms. Just a slight push. Then you can feel your palm being pushed back from the ball of air that surrounds it. It is just like the elasticity of a balloon when you push it a little. You may not be able to do it right away, but after repeating it several times, you will be able to do it. At this time, if you cooperate to feel the elasticity of something with the palm of your hand, you will be able to feel it quickly.
To be able to feel this faint force pushing back means that you have felt the chi. Although only air is supposed to exist between your palms, you are sensing the presence of the “chi sphere” that pushes back against your palms through the tactile sensation of your hands.
This means that the chi ball, which was originally just an imagination in your mind, has become a physical thing that you can feel through your sense of touch. Once you experience this sensation, you go from believing or not believing that the chi ball exists to the self-evident fact that it can be made to exist at any time.
- Emitting chi and receiving chi
Next, we will practice giving out chi and receiving chi.
First, open your right hand and create the image of chi coming from the tips of your five fingers. It is like scissor hands. Imagine that there is some kind of energy flowing out from the tips of your fingers.
Now, receive the energy coming out of your right hand with the palm of your left hand. The energy from the fingertips of the right hand is hitting the palm of the left hand.
At this time, the left hand is consciously trying to feel the energy coming from the right hand hitting the palm of the hand.
The right hand is conscious of the energy coming from the fingertips, that is.
The palm of the left hand can then feel a faint tingling sensation as the energy hits it.
If you shake your right hand slowly, the sensation of energy hitting your left hand will follow the movement of your right hand, making it easier to get the sensation. Do this slowly and repeatedly until you get the sensation.
When you can feel the sensation of energy hitting you in this way, you will experience a physical sensation through the tactile sensation of your palms that you are emitting chi from your hands and receiving chi with your hands.
In other words, it becomes self-evident that you can emit and receive chi.
- Put images on chi energy.
Now I will explain the work to be done in pairs.
One person emits chi from the fingertips of his or her hand, and the other person receives it with the palm of his or her hand.
The person who emits chi imagines that he or she is emitting chi from the fingertips as much as possible, and the person who receives chi concentrates on the sensation in the palm of his or her hand, thinking that something must be coming.
The person who emits chi imagines that red-hot lava is flowing out of his or her fingertips, and emits chi.
The person receiving the chi carefully observes what it feels like to receive it.
Next, the person emitting the chi imagines that cold ice water is flowing smoothly from his or her fingertips as he or she emits chi. The person who emits the chi should feel that he or she is cold and chilly.
The person receiving the chi should carefully observe how it feels when received.
If there is a difference between the first chi and the second chi, it is a success.
It would be wonderful if you could feel a hot and heavy image and a cold and dry image, but it is not necessary to go that far right away. It is enough to feel the difference.
This difference is the difference in the information that is on your energy. In other words, by feeling the difference, the person who emits chi was able to put different information on chi energy, and the person who receives chi was able to acquire different information from chi energy.
This work is easy to do anywhere, so if you are interested, I hope you will try it and see what it is like. In my experience, anyone can do 1. through 3. in about 2 hours, and I have taught about 20 people, and none of them could not do it.
Now, the above mentioned series of exercises actually include all of the basic techniques of qigong. In particular, 3. is transferring an image to another person by putting it on chi energy, which is the very essence of qigong practice itself. Professional qigong practitioners can use a variety of techniques and have a great deal of experience in how to transfer images.
- Qi energy is a perceptible presence that can be felt in the palm of the hand.
- Qi energy can be transmitted to and received by others, and can be imaged by consciousness.
- The fundamentals of qigong can be experienced by anyone.
